Main tasks and responsibilities:

The Project Architect is responsible for working with the Senior Designer and Project Manager in the design details and documentation of a project. The project architect works on all phases of the design with an emphasis on the development phases of the design and construction document. The work includes the production of drawing sets, computer modeling and renderings as well as production management.

– Independently write and assemble construction documents quickly and efficiently.

– Review CDs for compliance with company standards, mechanical systems, building systems, codes and ADA requirements.

– Coordinate the work of the consultant to ensure compliance with design solutions and timely submission of documents.

– Interact effectively with team members and clients to ensure a smooth workflow and ensure successful project delivery.

– Create and contribute to the design and development of the project.

– Respond to RFIs and quotes and coordinate as needed in the construction phase

– Supervise tasks and provide feedback on the work product.

– Daily coordination with clients

– Supervise the juniors

– Support several projects simultaneously.

Education: Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited university.

Licence: Current architecture license or NCIDQ, CCIDC, NCARB, ASID or comparable desirable but not required.

To live: Over 5-7 years of experience in all phases of architectural design, including substantial and varied experience in responsible planning and interior design of complex projects. Substantial experience in applications of engineering technology, interior design materials and construction methods. Experience in high-end restaurants and hotels, or high-end residential, an asset.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent writing and detail skills; Proficiency in Photoshop, 3D, InDesign, AutoCAD and Revit. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project deadlines and budgets. Ability to be flexible and multitasking.
