EwingCole acquired BBH Design and Interior Architecture & Design (IDeA), two research companies commissioned for large-scale commercial projects. The acquisition will strengthen EwingCole’s presence and expansion in the South East region. The company will double its establishments; new outposts in Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Raleigh will join current offices in Irvine, New York and Philadelphia.

BBH Design and IDeA recently collaborated on a proprietary research tool, DOTT, which provides post-occupancy design solutions based on how people operate in their built environment. “The enhanced application of DOTT in all of our practices will be part of our commitment to create inspired spaces and buildings that meet the aspirations of our clients,” said Rich Beale, co-founder of BBH Design. The technology will help EwingCole to embark on future projects in the institutional, educational, healthcare and business sectors.
