Accountant / Logistics Specialist – AD100 Interior Design Firm – New York, NY, US | Works
Julie Hillman Design is an AD100 interior design company looking for a full time, highly organized and detail oriented Accountant with 3 years of experience using Design Manager software to get started right away. This position requires extreme attention to detail, organization and monitoring. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and must be extremely thorough, organized and able to easily multitask.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Works as chief accountant in all areas.
-Create weekly billing entries for the controller
-Create a monthly billing of reimbursable expenses
-Management of accounts payable
-Purchase Orders: Liaise with the design team and suppliers to make deposits and payments on a timely basis and to coordinate shipping.
-Management of corporate credit cards and reconciliation of credit card accounts.
– Liaise with the design team, suppliers and third party logistics providers to manage all national and international shipments
-Set up collections and deliveries to workshops and customer residences
-Inventory management
– Supervise IT problems
– Liaise with building super for any office problem
-Manage office supplies and other administrative tasks
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
-More than 3 years of bookkeeping / accounting experience, ideally in an interior design or architecture studio
-Baccalaureate preferred
-Advanced knowledge of Design Manager, the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) and Google Sheets
-A strong work ethic, a high level of integrity and a positive attitude
-Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
-Able to work both autonomously and in a team
-Autonomous and meticulous in his work
– Positive and optimistic behavior
-Problem solver, resourceful in identifying problems and providing resolutions
