For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally” we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out, including new mascara from Milk Makeup, rain boots from Hunter and Killing Eve, and an urban camouflage collection from Bodega and Helinox.
We mentioned Ruggable’s collaboration with Keith Haring in last week’s roundup of things that are sure to sell, and now we’re talking about his latest release again. This week, the brand ditched shag rugs, which have become a verifiable thing over the past few years (maybe it’s how comfy underfoot feels?). Shag rugs are stain resistant, drop resistant and (of course) machine washable. They are currently available in four colors: pink, light gray, gloss white, and an off-white shade called Antique Ivory. There are four sizes to choose from, ranging from a two-by-three-foot doormat to a six-by-nine.
We’ve long been fans of Milk Makeup’s mascara, calling its best-selling kush mascara the best vegan option on the market (it gives lashes an almost extension effect). Now the brand has launched Rise Mascara, which gives lashes a natural-looking lift and separation while helping them maintain a curl. It also has a curved brush that grabs all your lashes, even the smallest ones in the inner corner. If you want to test Rise out before committing to full size, it comes in a mini tube.
In other beauty news, Pixi has teamed up with Hello Kitty on a skincare and makeup collection perfect for spring. Many skincare products (like the cult Glow Tonic) are already sold out, but there are still those de-puffing hydrogel patches, which you can use all over your face. In addition to de-puffing, they hydrate the skin with nourishing ingredients like ceramides, peptides and hydrating hyaluronic acid.
When Eadem launched its dark spot serum eight months ago, it was an instant hit. Now the brand is following it up with a brightening moisturizer that helps remove dark spots while nourishing the skin. Ingredients like niacinamide and peptides help heal acne and fade hyperpigmentation, and snow fungus and squalane help boost hydration (snow fungus is 400 times more hydrating than hyaluronic acid ) and hydrate the skin.
Dr. Martens has added two new styles to its line of platforms: the Audrick Hardware and Rikard Lunar collections. Both add a lugged sole to classic silhouettes. There’s a little something for everyone with the slightly more daring and chunky Audrick and the more elegant and minimalist Rikard Lunar. This includes Strat’s favorite Chelsea boot, which came up more than any other brand when we asked stylish women what the best Chelsea boot was.
Two things to know about Kill Eve: One, the show is good; two, fashion is surprisingly good. Which is to say, a fashion collaboration isn’t entirely surprising. Unlike typical show-merch collaborations, the show’s branding is nowhere in sight. Instead, there’s an update to the brand’s tall, short hunting boot, adding water-resistant Stetson leather to the upper and a slightly thicker sole. The boots have recycled vegan sherpa on the inside, a cozy update that will keep your feet warm all winter long.
In July, Lululemon announced it would be making yoga props out of Mylo, a material made from the root structure of mushrooms that looks and feels like leather. Now the company has expanded into sports bags. The barrel-shaped duffel bag holds up to 24 liters (ideal for weekend getaways and workouts) and has exterior pockets so you can keep your water bottle separate from your gear and gear. sweaty workout shoes.
Menstrual cup maker Saalt recently released an insertable disc designed for people with bladder sensitivities and a weak pelvic floor (or anyone who wants to try a disc-on-a-cup). Unlike the cup, which relies on suction, the disc sits behind the pubic bone to collect blood. It also holds a little more than the cup. The regular size disc holds up to six stamps, while the cup holds up to four. Similar to the cup, the disc comes in two sizes: regular and small. They are currently available for pre-order and ship at the end of February.
Our favorite whitening toothbrush is now available in JJ-approved Cocomelon colors. The mini toothbrush has the same technology as the adult version, providing better cleaning than a manual toothbrush. It also comes with exclusive Cocomelon videos, which might be just the thing to convince a stubborn kid to brush their teeth morning and night.
To brighten up your child’s bedroom or powder room, there’s a new wallpaper collection from Lulu and Georgia created in collaboration with children’s clothing brand Rylee + Cru. Whimsical patterns abound. There’s an array of soft, delicate florals, classic gingham, and a repeat palm tree wallpaper that gives off a ‘hotel in Palm Springs’ vibe.
Helinox has teamed up with Bodega on a limited-edition print on some of their ultra-packable outdoor furniture. The camouflage pattern combines natural and manufactured materials (broken glass juxtaposed with leaves), marrying Bodega’s Boston roots with Helinox’s high-quality outdoor gear. The collection includes Chair One, a table with a hard top and a bed that hovers a few centimeters off the ground when set up. We wrote about the chair, which can be easily packed up to fit in a tote bag and has stood a journalist for five years.
For Black History Month, Pottery Barn collaborated with the Black Artists + Designers Guild, a collective that provides community and support for black creators and creatives. The collection was created by three guild member interior designers: Penny Francis, Casi St. Julian and Lisa Turner. The 25-piece collection offers bold colors and metallic accents applied to home accents like decorative pillows, blankets and serving platters.
